Concentrating on building immunity has become more important in these covid times. Here, I am going to show you a concoction that is rich in antioxidants and they are ideal to boost immunity. This concoction is also helpful to deal with symptoms related to flu and cough.

There is a lot of confusion between ajwain seeds and ajwain leaves. They are not related in any way except their smell. You can use leaves or seeds as per availability. If you reside in Hyderabad, you can fresh ajwain leaves at our market store.

In addition to ajwain leaves, I am going to use ginger, turmeric, cumin and black peppercorns in this concoction. This concoction is quite strong but tasty. However, if you are giving it to children, then make it less strong or add honey to their preference.

• Start by boiling the water.
• Meanwhile, using a motor and pestle, grind cumin, black peppercorns, ginger and turmeric into a paste.
• Add it to the boiling water and stir well.
• After 10 minutes, add crushed ajwain leaves and stems.
• Leave it for 5 minutes and turn off the flame.
• Let it aside for another 5 to 10 minutes.
• Strain the concoction and enjoy it throughout the day.

Note:
• You can add honey for taste as per your preference.
• Instead of ajwain leaves, you can use ajwain seeds.
• Instead of raw turmeric, you can use turmeric powder.
